Also corrects settings, speeds, and feeds on welders including proper setup of product to be welded.Duties & Responsibilities Information:Assembles and welds shells, rings, and feet for generatorsPlaces stator core on mandrel, assembles shell and ringsGuages height and then tacks weld togetherAssembles and welds feet to frame and core assemblyCorrects settings on welders including speeds and feeds as well as proper setup of product to be weldedInspects quality of material being welded to prevent reworkIncludes MIG weldingProtects other employees from flash of arc which could cause damage to eyesWears welding hood, gloves, and other protection as dictatedExercises good housekeeping in work areaObserves good safety practices in performance of jobPerforms daily/weekly TPM tasks and completes checksheetsPerforms other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team LeaderNecessary Skills:Must be able to read complicated drawings, decimal dimensions on blueprints, utilize precise measuring devices and use to perform own setupsAdditional Job DetailsHigh School Diploma / GED RequiredEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
