Job Description Job Description Permik Industrial Supply, Inc. is seeking Industrial Welders with varying levels of experience to join our growing service team.
This is hands-on field work in industrial and manufacturing environments. Our welders support maintenance, shutdowns, equipment repairs, installations, fabrication, and capital projects at customer facilities.
We are interested in hearing from both developing welders and highly experienced industrial welders. Position and compensation will be based on experience, capabilities, certifications, and demonstrated skill.
Responsibilities
Perform welding, cutting, fitting, grinding, and fabrication in industrial environments
Perform structural and equipment-related welding and repairs
Work from drawings, measurements, layouts, and field conditions
Safely operate welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools
Assist with equipment installation, repair, and maintenance
Work alongside millwrights, pipe fitters, foremen, and other craftsmen
Inspect completed work for quality and conformance to requirements
Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas
Follow customer-specific procedures and job site requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Experience levels may range from developing welders to experienced industrial craftsmen.
MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding
Carbon steel and stainless steel (complex metallurgies is a plus)
Structural Welding (3G certifications a plus)
Pipe welding (6G certifications a plus)
Cutting and burning
Reading drawings and blueprints
Industrial maintenance and construction
Welding certifications or ability to pass required weld tests
Industrial Work Environment
This position primarily supports industrial manufacturing facilities. Applicants should be comfortable working around heavy machinery, conveyors, production equipment, mobile equipment, noise, dust, heat, and active maintenance or construction operations.
Work may include shutdowns, outages, emergency repairs, nights, weekends, overtime, elevated work, and work in confined or restricted areas depending on the project.
Applicants will need to bring their welding sheild/hood to perform a small weld test to be considered for this job

Properly use required PPE
Participate in JSAs/JHAs, pre-job planning, and safety meetings
Understand and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures when applicable
Follow hot-work and fire-prevention requirements
Maintain awareness of nearby personnel, operating equipment, and changing jobsite conditions
Stop and report work that cannot be performed safely
Applicants must be willing to complete required safety training and customer/site-specific orientations.
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to perform physically demanding industrial work, including prolonged standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying tools and materials, and working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
