Class A Welder (Missile & Defense Manufacturing)We are hiring experienced Class A Welders to join a premier fabrication and manufacturing facility supporting aerospace, defense, and nuclear projects. This role involves fabricating, fitting, and welding structural steel components to precise specifications while working from detailed blueprints and engineering drawings.This is a great opportunity for welders seeking long-term career growth, exposure to high-profile government and defense projects, and top-tier compensation in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.Layout, fit, fabricate, and weld structural steel assembliesRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawingsOperate fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders, and other shop toolsPerform FCAW welding using.052 wire to quality standardsInspect welds and ensure compliance with project specificationsSupport production deadlines by working overtime during peak project phases5+ years of structural welding experienceStrong FCAW welding skills using .052 wireAbility to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawingsExperience with fitting and layout preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and maintain high quality standardsDay Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PMDuring the first 4-6 weeks, employees should expect significant overtime, including 10-12 hour shifts and occasional Saturdays, to support critical project milestones. This is a heavy industrial environment where PPE is required, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Candidates should be comfortable working around large fabrication equipment, cranes, and structural steel assemblies.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, OR.The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
