Job description

FabricatorHolman has an outstanding opportunity for a 1st shift Fabricator to join our team in Bartlett, ILShift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pmBenefits include: Health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and more!Eligible for benefits within 30 days of employmentPrincipal ResponsibilitiesFabricate components using cutting, MIG and TIG welding, drilling, and related processes to complete assigned projectsRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and written specifications to ensure components meet customer requirementsMeasure, square, and fit weldments during productionSet up and adjust welding machines for various material types and thicknesses to produce high-quality weldsInspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standardsBuild components ranging from small parts to medium-sized bodiesFollow Holman and OSHA safety standards; maintain a clean and safe work areaCollaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet project timelinesPerform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any issues promptlyTrack materials used, work completed, and hours worked; provide progress updates as neededVerify incoming and completed parts and stage them for the next phase of productionMaintain required personal toolsSupport overtime or alternate shifts as neededPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCompletion of a vocational/technical welding program or equivalent hands-on experienceAWS certification preferred3–5 years of welding experience in a fabrication environmentAbility to read and work from blueprints (not all prints include weld symbols, so the ability to interpret and adjust is important)Strong MIG welding skills in steel and aluminum; TIG welding experience preferred (stainless MIG/TIG a plus)Flux core experience a plusExperience with cutting, drilling, grinding, and general fabrication toolsAbility to visualize finished assemblies prior to weldingUnderstanding of welding and fabrication safety practicesLifting and rigging experience a plusOverhead crane experience preferred but not requiredAbility to weld in all positions and consistently produce quality weldsAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 poundsMust pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
