Welder CHot JobHendrick Manufacturing - Carbondale, PA 18407OverviewCategory ManufacturingDescriptionBASIC FUNCTION:Under direct supervision, welds metal parts together.MAJOR DUTIES:Performs simple, routine, and repetitive welding tasks.Uses standard procedures, tools and equipment.Welds components and parts from standard materials.Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:General knowledge of welding techniques, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is preferred. Ability to read precision measuring tools is required. Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or on-the-job training.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required. All welders must install 60 pounds spools of wire on own welding equipment, as necessary.ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs. The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.
