WelderFor more than a decade, Island Exterior Fabricators (IEF) has been a trusted leader in building high-quality, prefabricated façade systems. Our 50-acre manufacturing campus is headquartered in Calverton, New York, and supported by skilled tradespeople who bring complex projects to life.Our organization is fully self-sustained, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that enable us to deliver a high-quality product. Our production capabilities, installation network, and bonding capacity allow Island to complete large-scale, complex projects in a timely, efficient manner.Job Summary: As a Welder at IEF, you will fabricate and assemble metal components by reading blueprints, cutting materials, and performing high-quality welds that meet safety and project standards.Key Responsibilities:Reading and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.Select, measure, and cut materials according to specifications.Set up welding equipment and choose the proper welding method for each project.Weld and assemble metal parts using the appropriate technique (MIG and TIG).Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.Operate forklifts, cranes, or other equipment to move materials as needed.Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work area to ensure a safe environment.Minimum Qualifications:Highschool Diploma or equivalent.2+ years of welding experience preferred (MIG/TIG a plus).Experience in construction or manufacturing environments is preferred.Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions.Hourly Range: $18 -$35Location: Calverton, New York (Onsite)Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pmBenefits: 401(k) matching, AD&D insurance, Dental insurance, Family leave, Health insurance, Health savings account, Life insurance, Paid time off, Parental leave, Professional development assistance, Vision insurance.ADA Requirements: The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and work in environments that may involve bending, climbing, or exposure to heat and sparks.
