Welder And Equipment Repair TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder and Equipment Repair Technician to join our diesel shop maintenance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the proper functioning and safety of our equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, compactor repair, and a basic understanding of electrical wiring and hydraulics.Key Responsibilities:- Perform welding repairs and fabrication on various equipment and machinery- Conduct maintenance and repairs on compactors and related equipment- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to determine necessary repairs- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activitiesSkills and Qualifications:- Proven experience in welding and equipment repair, preferably in a construction or industrial setting- Knowledge of electrical wiring and hydraulic systems is a plus- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment- Valid driver's license and reliable transportationWe foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment that values growth and professional development.
