E.L. Harvey & Sons is looking for aWelder/ Co mpactor Technician to join our teaminNew Bedford, MA .
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30
Rate: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
As a Welder/ Co mpactor Technician with us the minimum responsibilities are:
Performweldingandelectrical repairof trash containers and compactors.
Performsandingandpaintingof trash containers.
Maintains a clean, safe work area incompliancewith Corporate andOSHAstandards.
Performs all work in accordance with establishedsafetyprocedures, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Ability to effectively communicateneeded repairs or tasks.
What we need from you:
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Prior experience with electrical and hydraulic systems is highly preferred.
Requires strenuousphysicalwork;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair containers in the yard. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basicsafetyprecautions.
Respirator fit test required.
Minimum 1 years of experience inMIG welding
