Don't miss this potential to hire role in Darien, WI.Welder Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Perform MIG welding and occasional TIG welding on stainless steel tanks, components, and assemblies according to work instructions, quality standards, and safety proceduresFabricate, assemble, and weld tank systems and related products to company and customer specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production documentation to ensure accurate fabrication and assemblyVerify fixtures, jigs, and components are properly aligned and positioned prior to weldingInspect welds and completed products for quality, appearance, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specificationsEnsure welds are leak-proof and capable of passing required pressure and quality testingUse measuring instruments and precision tools to verify dimensions and maintain product qualityPerform grinding, smoothing, polishing, and finishing of stainless steel products to meet customer requirementsOperate various hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely and effectivelyFollow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work areaWork efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining high quality standardsCollaborate with team members and assist in continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing processSupport training and development opportunities to further enhance welding and fabrication skillsWelder Requirements:Previous manufacturing welding experience, preferably 6 months to 2 years in a production or fabrication environmentAbility to perform quality welds that meet company standards, customer specifications, and production expectationsExperience with MIG welding; experience with TIG welding and working with stainless steel, mild steel, or aluminum is a plusAbility to read basic blueprints, work instructions, measuring devices, and inspection tools to ensure accurate fabricationStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanshipWelding certifications are beneficial but not requiredAbility to work independently with minimal supervision after training while also contributing to a team environmentWillingness to learn new skills, accept coaching, and continue developing welding and fabrication abilitiesReliable attendance, a positive work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safetyAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and frequently bend, reach, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shiftIND022 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
