Job description

WelderA manufacturing company in Dawsonville, GA is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to support its fabrication and production operations. The MIG Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and assemblies used in industrial applications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety, quality, and production efficiency.Hours: Monday-Friday 7A-3:30Pm OT when needed Pay $17.00-$19.00 Location: Dawsonville, GA Department: Production / Fabrication Reports To: Welding Supervisor / Production ManagerKey Responsibilities:Perform MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum componentsRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbolsSet up welding equipment and adjust machine settings based on specificationsFabricate, assemble, and weld parts according to production requirementsInspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standardsPerform grinding, fitting, and basic metal preparation as neededMaintain welding equipment and ensure safe operating conditionsFollow all safety procedures and manufacturing quality standardsWork collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet deadlinesRequired Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbolsStrong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail and quality control mindsetBasic mechanical and fabrication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Welding certification (preferred)Experience in sheet metal fabrication or industrial manufacturingExperience in high-volume or precision manufacturing environmentsForklift or overhead crane experience (a plus)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in industrial environments with heat, noise, and fabrication equipment
