With a global distributor network, our products are trusted by everyone from landscape professionals to the U.S. Military.We're growing—and we want you to grow with us.Why Join Us?Average 10–20 hours of overtime per monthStable schedule with long weekendsCompetitive pay and robust benefits starting quicklyWhat You'll DoAs a Welder at TBEI, you'll play a hands-on role in building high-quality truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated components.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (including robotic welding equipment, as applicable).Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measuring devices.Make welding equipment adjustments as needed to meet quality and production standards.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow and remaining flexible to support team needs.Rotate between machines and jigs within the job area as required by scheduling, team needs, or safety recommendations.Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform basic math for measuring, assembling, and problem-solving.Ability to demonstrate welding ability and successfully pass required welding certifications.Ability to read and understand complicated instructions, blueprints, and work orders.Basic computer skills for simple data entry.Ability and willingness to learn and operate multiple machines and jigs.Physical RequirementsAbility to manually move products and materials up to 50 pounds through regular physical activity, including climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending.Ability to stand and work in various positions for several hours at a time.Work is primarily performed on concrete surfaces, ladders, and inside dump bodies.Pay & ScheduleWages: $22.00–$30.00 per hour $1.00/hour stainless steel premium (when applicable)Pay Type: Non-exempt, hourly (bi-weekly pay)Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour days, Monday–Thursday Overtime as needed on FridaysLocation: On-site – 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal, MN 56055Travel: Minimal to noneBenefitsEligible on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) (with eligible health plan) Health Care FSA and Dependent Care Reimbursement Account Limited-Purpose FSA (with HSA enrollment) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Company-paid Life Insurance ($20,000) Voluntary Life Insurance (employee, spouse/domestic partner, and children) Company-paid Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD)Eligible on first day of employment: 401(k) with partial company match 100% immediate vestingAbout TBEI & Federal SignalTruck Bodies & Equipment International (TBEI), a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE: FSS), includes thirteen industry-leading brands producing dump bodies, trailers, landscape bodies, containers, roll-off systems, hoists, platforms, and truck and trailer equipment.Equal Opportunity EmployerThe Company is an equal opportunity employer.
