Job description
Welder/FabricatorNational Salvage and Service is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join the Fleet Division in Bloomington, IN. This role involves working for a sustainable company that focuses on recycling salvaged materials such as railroad ties and utility poles.Responsibilities:Adhere to all safety policies to maintain a safe work environmentProduce high-quality welds according to specificationsPrepare materials for welding by cutting and grinding to precise measurementsKeep work areas clean, organized, and maintain equipment properlyMonitor equipment performance and request maintenance as neededMinimize scrap and waste, effectively using suppliesMeet or exceed production level requirements through manual tasksQualifications:Self-motivated individual capable of meeting deadlinesMinimum 3 years of experience in Mig and stick weldingAbility to work independently for extended periodsComfort working in noisy, non-air-conditioned/heated environmentsProficiency in reading measuring tools like tape measuresExperience with torches and plasma cutters for cuttingProficiency with Mig and stick welding techniquesBenefits of National:Competitive payTuition Reimbursement401(K) plan with company matchWellness programFull health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and long-term disabilityNote: This job description may not encompass all duties and responsibilities of the role.
