Job description
Welder/FabricatorFabricate, weld, and assemble metal components in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.Build Something You Can Be Proud OfAt Fisk, we design and build custom propane delivery and service trucks used throughout the industry. Every truck is built to customer specifications and plays a critical role in keeping homes, farms, and businesses supplied with energy.We're looking for a skilled welder/fabricator who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys hands-on work, and wants to be part of a team that builds high-quality custom equipment from the ground up.If you enjoy variety in your work, solving fabrication challenges, and seeing a finished truck leave the shop knowing you helped build it, we'd love to talk with you.RequirementsWhat You'll DoFabricate and weld custom truck components and assemblies using (GMAW) MIG and (GTAW) TIG welding processes.Build truck-mounted propane systems, tank supports, equipment enclosures, structural components, and other custom assemblies.Work with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials.Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and work instructions.Use weld fixtures, jigs, gauges, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.Inspect your work to verify quality, fit, and compliance with specifications.Operate grinders, hand tools, material handling equipment, and fabrication equipment as needed.Collaborate with designers, assemblers, and production team members to solve fabrication challenges and improve processes.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship.What Makes You SuccessfulStrong welding and fabrication skills.Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.Pride in workmanship and ownership of finished products.Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.Commitment to safety and quality.QualificationsRequiredExperience with MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.General manufacturing or fabrication experience.Familiarity with grinders, hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and calipers.Basic math, computer, and communication skills.Ability to inspect and verify work to specifications.PreferredTIG welding experience.Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel.Experience building truck bodies, trailers, tanks, service equipment, or custom fabricated products.Forklift and overhead crane experience.AWS welding certifications.Why Join Fisk?Work on custom-built products rather than repetitive production welding.Variety of work with new challenges on every build.Stable manufacturing environment with modern equipment and skilled team members.Opportunity to grow your fabrication, welding, and product knowledge.Be part of a team that builds equipment essential to the propane industry.
