Job description
Welder FabricatorFabrication involves laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring and welding metals to create the desired final product. This is highly detailed work and requires the Welder Fabricator to be knowledgeable of many techniques and tools.Welder Fabricators must be able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans. The Welder Fabricator will use the blueprints along with other data, such as work orders, to develop and design their welding projects.Essential Duties:Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitorsAble to perform assigned duties while adhering to the Safety rulesPerform the assigned duties while maintaining, or surpassing, defined quality expectationsEnsure work areas meet, or exceed, site housekeeping standardsComplete projects on a timely matter and must be able to complete Work Orders properlyMaximum efficiency in production is being utilized at all timesReview assignment prior to initial work is startedPerform tasks of welding as neededInspect and test welds the equipment. Welds are checked for durability as well as meeting specified standards and equipment must be examined to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed.Assist maintenance on servicing welding machines as neededBuild material samples as requestedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to manage multiple tasks within a tight timelineAbility to interpret blueprints.Must be able to perform the following welding process: MIG- FLUX CORE will be a plusBi-Lingual (English/Spanish) will be a plusAbility to be at work every day, on-time as scheduled and complete the entire scheduled shiftAble to work 12 hrs. shiftAble to move/lift to 60 lbs.Ability to work in an environment that is often loud, dusty, and experience extreme temperaturesEducation/Experience:High School Diploma, or GEDMinimum of 6 months of weldingProduction/Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.1st shift 5:00 am to 3:30 pm or 2nd shift 3:00 pm to 1:30 am 40 with OT as require by production needs
