Job description
Welder / FabricatorDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Welder / Fabricators for a metal fabrication and manufacturing company in Long Prairie, MN. In this role, you'll weld and fabricate trailer and dump box components while supporting a productive, safety-focused shop environment. If you enjoy hands-on fabrication work, reading blueprints, and working with welding equipment, this job could be a great fit. Read below for more information!Perform MIG (GMAW) and FCAW welding on mild steel materialsComplete welding and fabrication projects according to specifications and blueprintsOperate oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment for material preparationMeasure, inspect, and verify completed work using precision measuring toolsOperate shop equipment including overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts safelyCommunicate project issues, changes, or concerns to the Shop SupervisorMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety proceduresMinimum of 2+ years of MIG welding experience on mild steelAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specificationsProficiency with welding equipment and plasma cutting operationsAbility to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform frequent bending, standing, and material handlingBasic mechanical aptitude and understanding of metal fabrication shop practicesReliable attendance, strong attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safetyEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
