Job description
Welder/FabricatorMadden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a qualified Welder/Fabricator for a long-term, day shift role in NW Portland, OR. The person in this position will support a job shop specializing in large and intricate industrial machines weighing up to 100,000 lbs. Pay: $28–$38/hourWelder/Fabricator Responsibilities:Ensure all safety procedures are followed, and the proper PPE is in placeWeld with Hardwire MIG, Fluxcore, TIG, and/or Stick as each project requiresInterpret blueprints, weld symbols, and proceduresUse grinders, torches, saws and other fabrication tools to prepare parts for fit-upTack weld assemblies and measure to ensure dimensional accuracyFinal weld parts in all postures and positionsPerform First Article Inspections. Troubleshoot and resolve problems with fit up as they occurWelder/Fabricator Qualifications:Must have knowledge in rigging and crane safetyMinimum of 5 years' experience with MIG, TIG, and Oxy-Fuel torchNickel alloy welding experience preferred and copper experience is a plusMust have strong attention to detailFamiliarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsAbility to work independently and closely follow directions is essentialMust have a positive and professional attitudeAvailable to work weekends and overtime when neededCapable of standing for extended periods of timeNon-ferrous welding experience is a plusBenefits: $28–$38/hour based on experience.
