Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.As a Welder at our Fulton, MO facility, you will play a critical role in manufacturing high-quality products for customers worldwide.Shifts:M-Th 6:30 am - 3 pmM-Th 4 pm - 230 amWhat You Will Experience In This Position:Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.Gather materials and perform layouts according to production requirements.Set up and operate welding equipment to weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials.Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and rework defects as needed.Operate cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.Coordinate with Leads and Inspectors to ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.You Have:High school diploma or GED required.At least one year of welding experience, welding training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Production welding experience and/or a Welding Certificate preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and tape measurements accurately.Experience operating welding and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members.Ability to solve routine problems and work independently within established procedures.Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures. nVent is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.We Have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every dayCommitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and workCore values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customersBenefits to support the lives of our employeesAt nVent, we connect and protect our customers with inventive electrical solutions.
