Job description
Welder (3rd Shift)A 3rd Shift Welder for Bastian Automation will be responsible for general welding/fitting producing weldments for material equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is welding/fitting, other duties to include fabrication, assembly, and painting of projects as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Automation shop equipment. A Welder will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by individual print. A Welder I will have 1-2 years of experience in the welding/fitting field. Shift: Sunday to Thurs 10:30 pm to 7 amJob Functions:With guidance ability to build high quality welded parts from blueprints with low rejection rate. Must maintain tolerances detailed on blueprintsWith guidance works from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminumKeep workspace in a neat and organized orderShow mutual respect for coworkersShow up to work every day on timeMaintain a positive attitudeOvertime required when necessaryFollow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)Travel Requirements:No travel for this positionRequired Qualifications and Preferred Skills:Relevant welding experience required.
