Job description
WelderThe welder is responsible for interpreting blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts. They will have to be able to weld small and large components. Maintenance welders perform welding in the repair, maintenance, fabrication, and modification of industrial equipment and establishments. They also diagnose and repair a variety of metalwork.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReading and understanding blueprints before starting a projectSourcing the materials to be used in the projectMeasuring and cutting materials to specificationsWelding materials using the correct materials to join the metals togetherChecking finished work to ensure it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.Focused on resources and goals of the AN teamPerforms other duties as assigned.Attention to detail.VersatilityAbility to use, repair, and maintain machines and tools.QualificationsKnowledge of welding techniques (STICK preferred)Ability to work well with othersRegular attendance and being on time are a must.High school diploma or GED.Welding experience in a related industry.Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standardsMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Problem solving skills.Strong attention to details.Excellent organization skills.Multitasking and time management skillsWorking ConditionsWork Hours: Standard shifts: 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. Overtime: Available and compensated according to labor laws. Breaks: 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute rest breaks per shift.Safety Standards: Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmets, gloves, and safety goggles. Regular safety drills, including fire and emergency evacuation procedures. Clearly marked emergency exits and first aid stations.Work Environment: Well-ventilated and adequately lit workspaces. Working in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse can involve exposure to extreme temperatures. Designated smoking areas outside of the facility.Training and Development: Comprehensive onboarding training for all new employees, covering safety, operational procedures, and equipment use.
