Role Description The Welder role at Seabee in Hampton, IA is a full-time, on-site position focused on producing high-quality welded components for hydraulic cylinders. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders; preparing materials and work areas; and performing various welding processes to meet production and quality specifications. The Welder will set up and operate welding equipment, inspect welds for accuracy and structural integrity, and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent, safe output. This role also involves collaborating with production and maintenance teams, following safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in Welding and Arc Welding for industrial components.

Hands-on experience with MIG Welding for production and repair work.

Hands-on experience with TIG Welding for precision and specialty applications.

Knowledge of Materials used in cylinder and component manufacturing, including proper handling and preparation.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

Understanding of shop safety practices, PPE use, and safe equipment operation.

Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to meet production deadlines.

Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred; relevant certifications or vocational training in welding are a plus.

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as needed, and perform repetitive tasks in a production setting.
