Job description
Welding TechnicianResponsible for welding components in a heavy manufacturing environment, operating welding equipment, performing quality checks, and following production work orders and safety procedures.Essential FunctionsOperate welding systems and make adjustments as needed.Operate plasma cutters, overhead hoists, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.Client out, position, and tack-weld components prior to final welding.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.Meet established production and quality standards.Perform quality inspections using basic measuring equipment.Accurately complete work orders, QAD reports, Kanban cards, and other required documentation.Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow all safety and quality procedures.Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.Must successfully pass the required weld test.Ability to read and understand blueprints, including geometric tolerancing.Basic computer skills.Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work overtime or outside regular hours as needed.Physical & Work RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, balance, grasp, climb, squat, and kneel.Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs.Work in a loud industrial environment with frequent exposure to manufacturing-related atmospheric conditions.Follow all required PPE, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
