Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.As a Welder, you'll operate metal fabrication equipment such as gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-cored arc (FAW), plasma arc (PAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), and resistance welding.What you'll do:Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specificationsRead and interpret blueprints or welding process specificationsOperate brazing and soldering equipmentOperate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machinesParticipate in continuous improvement of processesCross train in other complementary skills to support production requirementsObserve all applicable safety requirementsBasic Qualifications3 months or more of TIG welding experienceAt least 6 months of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and basic welding process specifications under supervisionAbility to sit or stand at least 50% of work shiftAbility to lift up to 50 poundsDesired SkillsHands-on exposure to basic tool fabrication methods and standard shop processes, including measuring, cutting, and fitting parts to specification.Experience using production tracking or inventory control systems to log work orders, time, and materials accurately.Completion of a welding apprenticeship program; or equivalent.Well-organized with attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to think outside the box when solving problems.Benefits that make life better:Comprehensive Healthcare401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vestedPaid Time Off starting on day oneBonus opportunitiesHealth- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife & AD&D InsuranceLearning & Training opportunitiesAbout UsRaising the Standard of Excellence since 1911 With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
