Job description
TIG WelderWe are seeking an experienced TIG welder to join a growing industrial manufacturing operation. This position is ideal for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing clean, precise welds and can work from blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.ResponsibilitiesPerform TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and/or aluminumFabricate and weld industrial components, assemblies, piping, frames, and equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and specificationsFit, tack, and weld components to required dimensions and tolerancesPrepare materials by grinding, cleaning, cutting, and beveling when requiredInspect completed welds for quality, penetration, appearance, and dimensional accuracyUse measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and gaugesOperate grinders and other fabrication equipment safelyMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all plant safety procedures and use required PPEWork independently while meeting production and quality requirementsQualifications2+ years of TIG welding experience preferredPrevious welding or fabrication experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentStrong TIG welding skills requiredExperience with stainless steel strongly preferredAbility to read blueprints and weld symbolsAbility to perform accurate fit-up and fabrication workMust be able to produce consistent, high-quality weldsAbility to use common fabrication and measuring toolsMust be dependable and able to work as part of a production teamAbility to stand, bend, lift, and work in an industrial environment throughout the shiftMust be willing to complete a weld testPreferred ExperienceExperience with any of the following is a plus:Stainless steel fabricationAluminum TIG weldingPipe or tube weldingSanitary/process pipingPressure vessels or tanksFood, pharmaceutical, chemical, pulp and paper, or other process manufacturing equipmentMIG weldingIndustrial equipment fabricationAWS welding procedures/certifications
