Career WelderArcosa Meyer Utility Structures is searching for Career Welders for our Lancaster, SC plant. As a Welder at Arcosa Meyer Utility Structures, you'll use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders. You'll use manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weld able materials. Shifts we are trying to fill are Monday - Thursday- 9pm-7am and Weekend 7pm-7am.Meyer Utility Structures is a proud subsidiary of the infrastructure company, Arcosa, Inc. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.What You'll Do:Weld clips and hardwarePerform full penetration (such as slip joint) welds to weld ends to poles or channelsPerform basic repairsOperate grinding equipmentMay lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassembliesMay position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools in accordance with layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketchesMay inspect completed work for conformance to specificationsObserve all standard safety practicesMaintain and complete all required recordsFollow all safety rules and practicesMay be involved in safety committees or initiativesPerform other duties as assignedWhat You'll Need:Minimum of 6 months of experience in flux core weldingQualify as a flat welderAbility to maintain 90% pass rate on UT inspectionBasic understanding of Oxy Fuel/Plasma burning and of Carbon ArcingEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
