Welder Lead (Welder III Straight Tray) - 2nd ShiftWelder Lead (Welder III Straight Tray) - 2nd Shift (4:00pm-12:30am) - $27.00/hour plus $1.00/hr shift differentialWe are currently searching for a Welder - Lead - 2nd Shift to be based out of Cartersville, GA. Reporting to Welding Supervisor, this person will be responsible for welding aluminum cable trays, as well as providing direction and guidance to other welders in the department. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is desired.Welder - Lead's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Direct and provide guidance to other welders in the departmentPerform setup, adjustments and operation of welding machines within the departmentAbility to use basic fabricating tools (i.e. tape measure)Interpret drawings and fabricate based off blueprintsFabricate per customer requirements adhering to specificationsActively participate in Atkore's safety programCross train in different areas of the shop as requiredEnsure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPEReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWhat you'll bring:3+ years welding experienceAbility to read a tape measureHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentTechnical School Welding Certificate (preferred)Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environmentMust be willing to work overtime as neededAll associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and AccountabilityWithin 3 months, you'll:Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategyGain an understanding of your teamGain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team ownsAtkore is a five-time Great Place to Work© certified company and a three-time Top Workplaces USA award winner! As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $27.00/hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
