Welder LeadPosition: Welder LeadShift: Days (Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday as needed) Must be able to work 10-12hr shiftsPay: $28.00 - $32.00/hrSign on Bonuses for all hourly Manufacturing Personnel!Starting pay is based on experience and skills evaluations.DeSHAZO is a leader in the Overhead Bridge Crane design and manufacturing industry, renowned for creating custom-built cranes that excel in reliability and boast an extended service life. With a state-of-the-art machining facility producing precision parts held to close tolerances, DeSHAZO has solidified its position as a dominant force in the Overhead Crane Industry.Job Summary: The Welder Leader is responsible for using MIG welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, meeting defined production schedules. The Welder Leader supervises the welding team in an active working role during shifts.Job Duties:Prepares and sets up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs.Arranges parts for welding and staging processes.Builds welded assemblies for new products and changes to existing products per engineering documents and established production standards.Reports fabrication issues and assists in resolutions as required.Participates in and attends cross functional meetings as required.Supports the Quality Assurance department with respect to jig & fixture evaluation.Ensures compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.Operates other necessary equipment and performs tasks necessary to complete parts to specifications.Performs additional duties as required.Job Requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalent.Possess 10-15yrs of experience in fabrication using MIG and Flux-core welding. (Supervisory experience is strongly desired.)Must be able to read Engineer Drawings.Must have MIG / GMAW or FCAW welding experience and ability to read blueprints.Completion of a welding course or AWS certified a plus.Ability to read engineering drawings.Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and testing.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand/walk 95% of the work day.Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance from overhead cranes or co-workers.Twist, reach and bend frequently.Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.Possess the ability to hear.Possess the ability to ascend and descend a ladder.Working Conditions:Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 12 hours per day.Exposure to hot and cold conditions, noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.Benefits Available:Medical (Eligible 1st of the month following hire date.)Dental & VisionCritical Illness CoverageAccident Insurance (off the job accidents)Company-paid Basic Life/AD&DCompany-paid Short-Term DisabilityVoluntary Long-Term Disability InsurancePre-tax Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA, DCA)401(k) – Match is discretionary 50% matching up to 6%Employee Assistance Program9 Paid Holidays per yearPTO ProgramEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled/Other Protected CategoryDeshazo's Mission: Deshazo is committed to elevating our clients' business needs through custom-built cranes and tailor-made automation systems.
