Job description
Job TitleTo effectively setup and weld Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring components into Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring assemblies using an Line 15 Welder. Also, will perform rework operations on assemblies containing quality issues or bad welds. Adjustment rings will be turned on a CNC machine to the proper diameter size.Essential DutiesSetup Line 15 welder for Model of product neededLoad and weld Vane Ring and Adjustment Ring componentsUnload assemblies and inspect for possible quality issues with assemblies and for cracks in the welds per blueprint, control plan and work instructionsVerify all dimensions on adjustment ring OD and R/O per blueprintOperate equipment to highest production and quality standardsMake necessary adjustments to insure a quality product is being producedChange filament in welder and clean welder vacuum tube as neededMaintain equipment and report malfunctions and safety issues to supervisor or maintenance as soon as possibleTransport completed material as required using proper handling methodsKeep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.)Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection proceduresUnderstand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policiesCommunicate and enforce safe work proceduresIdentify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection and investigation findings) and their corrective actionsUnderstand and adhere to current quality and control policiesPerform other duties as requested, directed, or assignedObserve all safety/shop rulesAttendance on the job is essentialQualificationsCompletion of high school or equivalent - PreferredLicensed to operate forklift if applicableTwo years' experience in assemblyUses hand tools and production equipment appropriate to the work performedBasic blueprint reading and SPC knowledge requiredCompletion of technical training in welding is preferredMust be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulationsCompetenciesAction OrientedCreativityCustomer FocusEthics & ValuesFunctional/ Technical SkillsInformingInterpersonal SavvyLearning on the FlyListeningProblem SolvingTimely Decision MakingDecision Quality
