Hibbs Electromechanical is seeking a Welder to join our skilled team in Madisonville, KY. The Welder is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
* Use welding equipment such as STICK, TIG, and MIG, or other methods to join metals
* Perform welding on different types of materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and others
* Conduct metal cutting, grinding, and polishing tasks
* Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to understand project specifications
* Ensure accurate measurements, dimensions, and welding processes according to project specifications
* Inspect welds for strength, appearance, and conformance to project specifications
* Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Proficiency in welding techniques, such as STICK, TIG, and MIG
* Ensure welds that meet safety and quality standards
* Familiarity with different types of metals and materials used in welding

Education & Experience:
* High school diploma or GED required
* Technical or vocational training preferred
* Welding certifications and experience required
