Job description
WelderThis role involves performing high-quality welding using GMAW (MIG) and SMAW (stick) processes in a manufacturing environment. You will read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, set up and operate welding equipment, and ensure all welds meet specified standards and quality requirements. You will contribute to safe, efficient production by inspecting parts, maintaining equipment, and following established safety and housekeeping practices.ResponsibilitiesPerform welding using GMAW (MIG) and SMAW (stick) processes in accordance with blueprint and technical drawing specifications.Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.Inspect parts and weld components to ensure they meet blueprint specifications and quality standards.Essential Skills1–3 years of experience performing MIG and stick welding in a production or similar environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings.Ability to inspect welds and components against blueprint specifications and quality standards.Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.Ability to operate cutting torches and carbon arc equipment.The standard work schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with additional work on Friday/Saturday.This is a Contract position based out of Mason City, IA.The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
