WelderSince 1883, HCC has been a major innovator in agricultural harvesting equipment and farm equipment products, with the invention of the first commercial grain weigher, the H.D. Hume pickup reel, and the floating cutter bar. Our employment philosophy is our employees are our greatest asset and our vision is excellence through teamwork.Starting Pay: $26.07 per hourShift(s): 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PMPrimary Function: Performs down hand acetylene arc and wire feed welding operations on a variety of parts, using jigs and fixtures provided, welding for mechanical strength and appearanceDuties:Works from drawings and shop orders, uses scale, rule, square, sample or fixed gauges, measuring and recording results to assure parts conformanceTack is required, selecting sequence of operations to prevent warpage and distortion, adjust current and voltage; select electrode type and sizes for proper fusionChecks parts for obvious damage or defects, file or grind to fit jig as requiredResponsible for using all required PPE and maintaining it in good condition. Must notify management when new PPE is neededMay perform welding operations on assembly floor or in welding booths, using hand truck or hoist to move components or finished weldmentsUses a variety of inspection equipment, measuring and recording results to assure that parts are made to quality standardsIs responsible for first piece inspection and periodic inspection as established by management and maintaining quality during runChanges wire reels, move parts, material or containers, turn equipment on and off as required, clean wire guidesNotify Supervisor regarding difficultly with parts or malfunction of equipmentMay be required to perform work on any shift designated by the companyKeeps equipment and area clean, neat, productive and safePerforms other miscellaneous duties inherent to the jobMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma and/or equivalentMust be able to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to use inspection equipmentWorking Knowledge of: welding equipment, various hand and power tools, material handling equipment, such as: pallet jacks, industrial forklifts, hoist etc, computers and terminalsBenefits: HCC, Inc. offers a world-class benefits package that includes a competitive salary.
