Job description
Welder - Mig, Tig, Stick and MoreScot Forge is an employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings used in demanding applications all over the world. We have locations in Spring Grove, IL, Clinton, WI, and Franklin Park, IL.Scot Forge performs a hair follicle drug screen, lift test up to 65 lbs, and background check.Essential Functions:Manual, automated, and mechanized welding operations (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW)Work on ferrous & non ferrous metals per engineering drawings & instructionsWithout certificate or degree, 5 years of relevant welding experienceUse die penetrant or mag particle to locate any defectsConduct air arcing to remove material or cracksDesign and build fixtures needed to safely make repairs on product and toolingLoad, light and unload furnacesReview shop order blueprints and welding procedures to determine appropriate welding methods and settings.Use tools such as tape measures, calipers, pi tapes, levels, filet gauges, etc.Essential Duties:Minimal Skills:5 years of relevant welding experience without a welding degree1 year experience in metal fabricationWith Technical Weld Certificate or Associate's Degree from accredited school or equivalent experienceAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong communicationUse of respirator for extended period of time.Use of fork lifts, grinders, stamping tools, overhead cranes, computers, tool crib machines, and hand tools.Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs.Benefits:Employee Stock Ownership PlanProfit Sharing BonusMedicalDentalVisionCompany provided Life InsurancePrescription Drug Plan401K and Roth PlanPaid vacation and holidaysShort and Long term disabilityTuition ReimbursementAt Scot Forge, we help our customers with forged solutions from the world's physical infrastructure, energy, and transportation to manufacturing, mining, and our national defense. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
