Job description

WeldersArcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of structural wind towers in North America. We focus on excellence, offering premier value to our customers. Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is searching for Welders. As a Welder, you will use drawings or work orders using semi-automatic and mechanized welding equipment to fabricate and repair wind tower sections. You may also be required to inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment. Weld Process Certification Training is provided with eligible background and experience.Job Location: Newton, IAWhat you'll do:Proficiently perform welding on wind tower sectionsMaintain attendance within acceptable standardsWhat you'll need:Experience: 1 Year Welding in GMAW, FCAW, SAW, or SMAWTechnical SkillsRead Tape MeasureGeneral tool usage including hand tools, torches, and grindersRead, write, and speak proficiently in EnglishFollow directionsEffective interpersonal communicator, good listener and open to feedbackDesire to learnTeam playerFlexibleAttention to detailInterest and aptitude in technologyDependable and punctualStrong work ethicAdaptableGood social skillsProblem SolvingTime ManagementResourcefulnessWorking Conditions:Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plantSafety Activities:Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
