Job description
WelderOperates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components using various processes including flux-cored arc and shielded metal arc welding.Lays out, positions, aligns and secures parts and assemblies.Uses straight edges, combination squares, calipers and rulers and examines work for defects and measures work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.Monitors the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid overheating parts or warping, shrinking, distortion and expansion of material.Typically reports to a supervisor.Working knowledge of specific hand tools for position.Excellent customer service skills.Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.Professional appearance and demeanor.Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.High school diploma or equivalent.Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $30.00
