Job description
MiG/TIG WelderFor over 50 years, BETA Fueling Systems in Reidsville, NC has led the aviation industry in the manufacture of reliable and safe refueling equipment. Everything we do is focused on improving the reliability, after sales support, and on-time delivery of equipment.We are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our team. The Welder will use hand-welding equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products to include but not limited to pressure vessels, pipes, frames, and brackets. Our Welders work in a team environment. Summer work hours are Monday – Thursday, 6:00am-3:30pm and Fridays 6:00am-10:00am with overtime required at times and occasional Saturday. After Labor Day, production hours return to Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.Education and Experience Required:High School Diploma or GED preferred3-5 years welding experience, MIT/TIG aluminum required, or post-secondary certificate in weldingCertification to AWS weld qualification (D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, etc...), highly preferredStrong knowledge of arithmetic and fractions is a mustAbility to utilize measuring instruments such as tape measures, squares, protractors (digital & bubble), etc., to effectively set up and process weldments to engineering drawing dimensional requirements, along with properly documenting dimensional measurements to ensure conformanceGeneral knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceFamiliar with industrial safety environment and use of common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, welding helmet, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats (Beta will provide or reimburse)Physical Requirements – using hands to handle, control or feel objects and tools, ability to read written instructions, lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds independentlyExposure to loud noise, heat, cold, and moving mechanical parts in a manufacturing environmentBenefits:BETA offers paid time off, 9 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term and long-term disability insurance.
