Job description
WelderThis role focuses on start-to-finish MIG welding and fabrication work in a clean, temperature-controlled shop environment. You will weld primarily stainless steel and aluminum, perform fitting and finishing tasks, and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards while following detailed blueprints and measurements.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on a variety of projects, with approximately 70% of work on stainless steel and 30% on aluminum.Weld materials ranging from 10-gauge thickness up to 1/4 inch, primarily using single-pass welds.Carry out complete fabrication processes from start to finish, including fitting, tack welding, spot welding, and finishing.Prepare weld surfaces as required, ensuring proper cleaning, alignment, and fit-up before welding.Read and interpret blueprint drawings and dimension styles to produce accurate and high-quality weldments.Essential Skills3+ years of welding experience, with a strong focus on MIG welding.Proficiency in MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum materials.Ability to weld material thicknesses from 10 gauge up to 1/4 inch using primarily single-pass techniques.Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and dimension styles.Skill in reading 1/8-inch, 1/16-inch, and 1/32-inch gradations on a tape measure.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of blueprint reading experience is a plus.Experience with general fabrication work, including fitting and finishing.Why Work Here?You will join a very clean, well-organized shop with a tight-knit and friendly team that values collaboration and mutual support. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
