Welder - 2nd ShiftLocation: Seattle, WASchedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PMPay: $30-$35/hourPosition Type: Contract-to-HireJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Seattle. This position focuses on MIG, TIG, and laser welding of precision components produced through CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication and welding experience, the ability to read blueprints and welding symbols, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG, TIG, and laser welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materialsWeld components produced through CNC machining and sheet metal fabricationRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructionsSet up welding equipment and select appropriate filler materials, gases, and welding parametersComplete fit-up, tack welding, and final welding operationsInspect welds for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specificationsGrind, clean, and finish welds as requiredPerform routine equipment maintenance and replace welding consumablesPrepare materials for welding and organize completed assemblies for downstream operationsMaintain accurate documentation and support quality inspectionsFollow all safety procedures, hot work protocols, and PPE requirementsWork closely with fabrication, machining, quality, and assembly teams to support production goalsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experienceAWS Certified Welder certification in at least one welding processAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbolsKnowledge of welding procedures and metallurgyExperience setting up welding equipment and adjusting welding parametersAbility to identify weld defects and perform visual weld inspectionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to lift up to 50 poundsGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityStrong safety mindset and ability to follow manufacturing safety proceduresWhy Join Us?Competitive pay: $30-$35/hourContract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potentialModern manufacturing environment utilizing advanced welding and fabrication technologiesOpportunity to work alongside skilled machinists, fabricators, and engineering teamsStrong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvementJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
