Job description
WelderThis position is for a 2nd shift Welder to perform welding operations on manufactured components using manual MIG, TIG, and laser welding processes. The role involves welding parts produced through CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication, ensuring high-quality welds that meet customer specifications and industry standards. This position requires welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials and joint configurations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform manual welding using MIG, TIG, and laser welding processes on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials.Weld components produced through CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication.Read and interpret welding symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.Set up welding equipment and select appropriate filler materials, gases, and parameters.Perform tack welding, fit-up, and final welding operations.Inspect welds visually for defects and verify welds meet welding procedure specifications (WPS).Operate and perform routine maintenance on MIG, TIG, and laser welding equipment.Follow all safety protocols and hot work procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Coordinate with CNC and sheet metal teams on component readiness and welding priorities.Required QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience: 2+ years of welding experience with MIG and/or TIG processes.Technical Skills: AWS Certified Welder certification in at least one process; Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and engineering drawings; Knowledge of welding metallurgy and procedures; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.AWS Certified Welder certification in multiple processes (MIG, TIG).Experience with laser welding.Technical certification or vocational training in welding technology.Experience welding multiple materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum).Familiarity with welding procedure specifications (WPS).Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.Forklift certification.Company Overview & CultureThis organization specializes in the production of components through additive manufacturing, CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and assembly.
