Job description
Welder – Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines)
We are looking for a competent Welder with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Proper use and maintenance of appropriate tools and equipment (e.g., welding machines, pneumatic and electric grinders, power saw, and bench drilling machine)
Welding and repair on deck and engine
Recruitment Criteria:
Minimum of 12 months sea service experience as Welder
Working knowledge of spoken English
Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties
Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire – Abandonship – Man overboard – Oil Spill)
Awareness of safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements
Minimum 12 months experience as Welder from Shipyard or work in any relevant welding industry. A mandatory additional Maersk Training will be provided.
