Job description
WelderThis role focuses on performing high-quality repair welds on warehouse parts that have been missed by robotic welders, helping ensure products meet strict quality and production standards for large distribution center projects. You will use MIG welding techniques and follow blueprints to produce accurate, durable parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform repair welds on parts that were missed or not completed by robotic welders, ensuring all components meet quality requirements.Use MIG welding processes to produce strong, consistent welds on metal parts.Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings to complete welds accurately and to specification.Maintain production pace and meet established production numbers while preserving high quality standards.Inspect welded parts for defects and make corrections as needed to ensure products are ready for use in distribution centers.Work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment, following all workplace safety procedures.Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain reliable attendance to support continuous production operations.Participate in and successfully complete a weld test to demonstrate MIG welding proficiency.Essential SkillsProven MIG welding experience with the ability to pass a MIG weld test.Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints and technical drawings.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.Capability to work at a production pace and meet output targets.Reliable attendance and punctuality with the ability to consistently show up on time.Basic understanding of manufacturing safety practices and willingness to follow safety guidelines.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with machine loading is a plus.Previous work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is beneficial.Comfort working around robotic welding equipment and automated production lines.Ability to adapt to different shifts and schedules as needed.Why Work Here?Join a growing organization that offers an excellent entry point into a stable manufacturing career. Work is performed on-site around robotic welding equipment and production machinery, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Multiple shifts are available, including a first shift Monday through Thursday from early morning to late afternoon, a second shift Monday through Thursday in the evening and overnight, a weekend day shift Friday through Sunday from morning to evening, and a weekend night shift Friday through Sunday overnight. Team members wear appropriate industrial and welding attire, including protective gear suitable for working with welding equipment and machinery, and work in a fast-paced setting focused on meeting production goals.Job Type & LocationThis is a contract position based out of Shelbyville, KY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
