Welder Position at ProFabProFab, a member of the JE Grote Company family, is a sanitary conveyor manufacturer, millwright, and process piping supplier and installer serving the poultry industry and the greater food processing industry. The mission statement is: To Feed Our Growing World – Together.Job Summary: The Welder will provide the skill and work ethic required to build our world class food processing equipment at the best Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost possible.Responsibilities:Preferred candidate needs heavy GTAW experience in stainless steelAccurately and efficiently use calipers, weld fixtures, tape measures, and other welding hand toolsUtilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw gun, drill gun, and grindersMust be able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.Willing and able to learn CNC Press Brake and/or other equipment as neededVerify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.Operators will be required to maintain tolerances of 0.01"-0.03"During operations Operator will be required to maintain cleanliness of areaCommunicates with Leadership, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.May perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.Forklift experience preferred but not required.Requirements:2+ years of experience welding stainlessStrong understanding of manufacturing processesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints and manuals.Driver's License and a reliable work vehicle.Authorized to work in the United StatesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English fluentlyPreferred Qualifications:Experience with stainless steel and UHMW conveyor components.Knowledge of quality control and testing procedures.Work Environment:The Welder/Fabricator job is typically performed in a manufacturing environment with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.The work environment is clean and organized, with a focus on safety and quality control.The job requires standing and walking for long periods, as well as lifting and moving heavy objects.The work schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 6am-4:30pm, with mandatory overtime as needed.Salary will be commensurate with experience. All candidates to whom an offer of employment is made will need to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
