Job description
MIG Welder / Fabricator3 Month Project until the end of the year. 10 hour Shifts Monday-Saturday 4pm-3am. Lots of overtime available and also open to travelers.This role involves welding and assembling structural metal components and products using MIG welding processes in a well-organized fabrication environment. You will set up parts, interpret blueprints and weld symbols, and produce high-quality welds that meet company standards while maintaining a safe and clean work area.ResponsibilitiesWeld and assemble structural metal components and products using MIG welding processes.Set up parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment and fit.Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and work orders to determine job requirements.Produce clean, accurate, and structurally sound welds that meet company quality standards and specifications.Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to drawings and weld symbols.Follow welding safety procedures and use equipment in a safe and responsible manner.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area throughout the shift.Operate and care for welding machines and related equipment in accordance with company guidelines.Essential SkillsProven experience with MIG welding processes in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.Knowledge of welding safety procedures and applicable quality standards.Skill in setting up parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.Ability to produce consistent, clean, and high-quality welds.Attention to detail when inspecting completed welds for quality and accuracy.Capability to work extended shifts and maintain productivity over a 60-hour work week.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with modern welding machines, including equipment comparable to Fronius systems.Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with structural metal fabrication.Ability to follow detailed work orders and production instructions.Strong commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping.Reliability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours as required.Work EnvironmentThe role operates in a well-kept, organized fabrication facility equipped with modern welding machines, including Fronius equipment or similar technology. The schedule runs Monday through Saturday from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., totaling around 60 hours per week, which may include overtime. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and order, with clearly defined workstations and procedures. Dress typically includes appropriate industrial work attire, such as durable clothing suitable for welding, along with required personal protective equipment like welding helmets, gloves, and safety footwear.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Weldon Spring, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
