Job description
Job TitlePrototype and complete TIG welding, brazing, and hardware installation.Essential Job Functions:Weld stainless steel/aluminum/titanium pressure vessels and structural componentsOxy-acetylene torch brazing, and electromechanical assembly using hand toolsUse necessary components to weld according to printMeet weld specifications for AWS certificationUtilize gages and measuring tools to ensure accuracy and integrity of tanksUtilize TIG welders, metal sheer, press brake, plasma arc, turn tables, rotary machines, torches, TIG equipmentAdditional Duties:Must be able to read blueprintsMust be able to pass welding testing for certification Mil Std. 1595/ AWS D17.1 supplied by the CompanyProvide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned.Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.Qualifications:Basic computer skills, MRP experience a plusPhysical requirements include bending, twisting, lifting up to 20 lbs. repetitively, lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionallyMust submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company.Must be able to pass a pre-employment vision screening (corrected or uncorrected) to ensure ability to perform essential job functions.Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results.Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies.May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual.Education:Must have at least 3-5 years prior TIG welding experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentIn addition to competitive wages, NMG is proud to offer a retirement savings plan with company matching opportunity, excellent health and wellness benefits including a $350 annual wellness allowance for assistance with personal health and fitness goals, can earn up to 5 weeks paid-time off, on the job training, education assistance, and a variety of other supportive programs to meet our team member's needs.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
