Job description
Welder Class IWe are seeking an experienced Class I Welder to perform advanced welding and fabrication work in a job shop environment. This position requires strong technical skills, the ability to read detailed blueprints, and experience working with a variety of welding processes and steel fabrications.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience in a job shop welding environmentProficient in MIG, TIG, and Sub Arc weldingHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to safely handle and operate required hand tools and welding equipmentStrong blueprint reading skills with the ability to:Create layoutsFit up weldmentsPerform finish welding per drawingsPhysically able to:Work 4–5 hours at a timeBend for extended periodsWork in positions requiring bending, stooping, twisting, and turningPrimary Duties:Read and interpret detailed blueprints and specificationsPerform highly diversified welding on a wide variety of steel fabricationsCut, grind, and prepare materials for weldingUse multiple welding methods, including:MIG weldingWelding electrodesPre-heating and post-heating processesStraightening and bendingMaintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, safe work areaPerform basic diagnostic checks on machine controlsComplete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisorAssist with training and instructing new operators as neededPay Rate: $28–$29 per hour (based on experience)Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM – Monday through FridayBenefits once hired into company:MedicalDentalVision401KPaid vacationPaid holidaysLife insuranceShort term disability insuranceNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
