This position must be able to back up Supervisors and other Leads for any absenteeism. This position is responsible for working with the department Supervisors and Leads to meet daily requirements and drive efficient line operations.Key ResponsibilitiesEffective Communications with Supervisors, Team Leads and others regarding Safety, quality, workload capacity, staffing, and any other issues impacting production.Solve problems on an ongoing basis and encourage the use of Cx Tools and methods that will help properly solve problems.Assist Supervisor and Team Leads in coordinating quality control activities, implementing Work Standards, specifications, and characteristics of the department processes to ensure that quality is built into each of the production processes.Follow standard work and train other employees to do the sameCoach new technicians to improve skillsWork with team to eliminate, prevent, and resolve quality issuesWork with the Carrier Excellence team and drive the 5S programDrive Carrier Excellence culture, tools, and competency across the departmentEnsure deployment and sustainment of Cx fundamentals on the site (Excellence Boards, Tier Reviews, Turnback Management, etc)Monitor work order progress and drive quality and timeliness of completionAbility to make suggestions and informed decisions quicklyHighly motivated and possesses superior follow-up and follow-through skillsPossess a sense of urgency and demonstrated initiative to help department performance dailyRequired Qualifications5+ years of weld and brazing operations experience3+ years of service with Carrier1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)Must be 6G certificatedPreferred QualificationsProficiency in joint joining techniques such as TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), or Stick (SMAW), along with blueprint reading, fitting, and standard safety compliance.Expertise in joining metals using filler metals heated above 840°F (450°C) without melting the base metals (often torch, induction, or furnace brazing).Willing to work overtime as neededGood communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departmentsExceptional customer service skills and great teamworkExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyBenefits Employees are eligible for benefits, including:Health Care benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; wellness incentivesRetirement benefitsTime Off and Leave: Paid vacation days, up to 15 days; paid sick days, up to 5 days; paid personal leave, up to 5 days; paid holidays, up to 13 days; birth and adoption leave; parental leave; family and medical leave; bereavement leave; jury duty; military leave; purchased vacationDisability: Short-term and long-term disabilityLife Insurance and Accidental Death and DismembermentTax-Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account; Healthcare Spending Account; Dependent Care Spending AccountTuition AssistanceThe hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 - $48.00 per hour.
