We strive to give our team members a deeper sense of purpose at work, and we continue to build a better work environment by aligning our cultural and business strategies with the needs of our team members.The Welder is responsible for adding value in the process flow by accurately assembling various components and/or sub-assemblies into specified fixturing and joining by welding or repairing defective welds. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Essential functions include observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company, maintenance of a clean and organized workspace, picking and placing components or subassemblies into proper fixturing and joining by the application of GMAW (Gas-Metal-Arc Welding), exercising product and process knowledge to identify out-of-conformance situations and alerting supervisor or Quality Auditor of these situations in a timely manner, rotation of position into different production teams as necessary to meet production schedules and company goals, and maintenance of good housekeeping practices always. Ability to set up welding equipment including changing gas is also required.This position has no supervisory responsibility. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing this job, the team member works around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines. The team member may work in outside weather conditions in all seasons. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. In addition, the team member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires personal protective equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear which will be provided (contingent on position). Additional items required but not included are steel toed shoes or boots with metatarsal guards.This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday-Thursday 6am to 4:30pm. There is no travel with this position.
