SAS Global Corporation Warren, MI

SAS Global Corporation is seeking a MIG Welder to manufacture engineered, fabricated metal parts. This hands-on position involves reading blueprints, producing and inspecting welds, and working safely with a variety of materials in a manufacturing shop.

What You'll Do

Perform handheld MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, manganese steel, and mild steel with chromium carbide overlay.

Read and interpret blueprints to meet job specifications.

Inspect welds for quality and accuracy.

Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and build up metal parts as needed.

Complete required quality checks and documentation using the Quality Assurance Inspection Traveler for each job.

Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and work instructions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Ability to use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments.

Basic shop math skills.

Experience operating an overhead crane.

Hi-Lo license.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing shop with exposure to dust, dirt, and frequent loud noise. Duties include lifting materials weighing approximately 50 pounds.
