Job Description Job Description Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
Measure, cut, fit, tack, and assemble structural steel and metal components.
Perform MIG, TIG, flux-core, and/or stick welding as required.
Set up and operate welding machines, grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication equipment.
Inspect dimensions, alignment, and weld quality using measuring tools and gauges.
Identify and correct fit-up, alignment, and welding defects.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
Complete assigned work accurately and within production schedules.
Work independently and collaborate with supervisors, inspectors, and other trades.
