Job TitleConstruction Field Craft WorkerJob DescriptionSummary/ObjectiveWe recruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines in the construction field. A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any Superior Construction project.Essential FunctionsUses electricity and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metalsConsults blueprints and sketches to execute jobs and tasks to specificationAssesses equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methodsMonitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperatureMaintains a thorough knowledge of universal standards and specifications to meet building codes and legal requirementsOperates specialized machinery for industrial weldingMonitors work environment for hazards and maintains healthy ventilation levelsFollows safety protocol, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoesProperly follows all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.CompetenciesCommunication ProficiencyCustomer/Client FocusDiversity and InclusionResults DrivenStress Management/ComposureTeamwork OrientationDirect ReportsNo direct reports.Work EnvironmentThis is a field-based role. Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.Physical DemandsThe position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position.
