At the Ideal Tridon Group, connections aren't just what we make—they're the heart of everything we do.We are seeking a Welding Machine Operator on 2nd Shift to join our team at the Wesanco Smyrna TN plant!Schedule and Shift:2nd 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday - FridayHourly Pay Rate $21.00 :2nd shift includes $1.00 shift differentialJob SummaryJob Responsibilities:Operates welding machine in order to join metal spans in metal fabrication processMay set up and operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications.Follows blueprints, customer specifications, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape mend, weld metal accurately.Uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams.May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.RequirementsExcellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills.Ability to perform repetitive tasks.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required.Hi-Lo Certification preferred must be trained and certified on the hilo.(1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.Must have reliable transportation.This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with competitive pay and benefits!An Equal Opportunity EmployerWe do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by law or regulation.
