nnThe Role Itself
nAs a Broker you'll collaborate with retail insurance agents to develop and submit business to target markets, building strong relationships with brokerage markets. You'll assess new business submissions, negotiate terms for optimal coverage and pricing, and ensure timely quotes. Additionally, you'll solicit new business through various sales and marketing strategies, establish relationships within a territory, and coordinate administrative workflows with support teams to ensure accurate and prompt service responses.
nnResponsibilities include :
nnnWork with retail insurance agents, to develop and submit business to target markets for placement.
n
nnBuilding relationships with our brokerage markets
n
nnAssess new business submissions and negotiate terms, by selecting the markets that can provide the most coverage at the best price.
n
nnFollowing submissions through the process, to assure quotes are provided in a timely manner and negotiate with all parties involved to reach an acceptable price.
n
nnSolicit new business through various sales and marketing techniques and begin establishing relationships within a territory utilizing agency visits, telemarketing calls and cross selling.
n
nnCoordinate and handle administrative workflows in conjunction with support team(s) to establish accurate and prompt response to service issues.
n
n nnWhat We Are Looking For:
nnnStrong knowledge and experience of property insurance including: coverages, rating, terminology and technical procedures.
n
nnP&C license required
n
nnExperience working with large property accounts
n
nnHistory of business development and submissions from direct production responsibilities.
n
nnMust be sales driven, “people person” who likes to establish new relationships while learning communication strategies and sales methods.
n
nnExperienced in Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Reader. Ability to quickly learn new programs and applications.
n
nnSkilled in business writing and problem/situation analysis.
n
nnEnergetic, self - motivated individuals who are goal oriented and can thrive in a team environment.
n
nnStrong desire to learn and develop new skills.
n
nnA four year college degree is preferred with 1-3 years of relative experience.
